THE PARADISE OF DISCOVERY COVE

(2017 - Winter/Spring Issue)

Writer: Kevin Fritz

SeaWorld’s Discovery Cove is your oasis to interact with and learn about dolphins and other animals such as stingrays, tropical fish and sharks. Here you’ll find professional trainers and staff guiding you and your family through a day of adventure and helping you explore animals and the world in which they live. The ultimate goal is for you to leave the park inspired by what you learn and to take action to help protect animals in the wild.

SWIM WITH DOLPHINS

The highlight of your visit awaits at Dolphin Lagoon. Venture into the cool, clear water and learn all about these bottlenose cuties up close and personal, and learn what we all can do to help marine mammals in the wild.

But that’s not all—your admission to Discovery Cove includes much more. Wade through the new Freshwater Oasis and meet the otters and marmosets. Take in the splendour of the Grand Reef, teeming with thousands of beautiful fish, including velvety rays. Feel the excitement of snorkelling alongside reef sharks safely behind glass. Back on land, the Explorer’s Aviary features hundreds of colourful soaring birds that glide down to take a bit of fruit right from your hand.

AMP UP THE EXCITEMENT

Your all-inclusive package at Discovery Cove includes a dolphin interaction, freshly prepared lunch, dinner and snacks and beverages throughout the day, free use of lockers, towels, wetsuits, snorkelling  gear, sunscreen, showers and changing facilities. Plus, receive unlimited admission to SeaWorld Orlando and Aquatica, SeaWorld’s Waterpark, for 14 consecutive days around your reservation date.

Make your visit even more enjoyable with a private, six-guest cabana, complete with tables, chairs, towels and chaises longues. For even more adventure, consider the Trainer for a Day program and learn about the care of these amazing ambassadors.

Children must be at least six years old to swim with dolphins; ages six to 12 must be accompanied by a paying adult. If the kids are too young, try the Resort Day Package, which includes all of the amenities of an inclusive package without the dolphin swim experience. Have little ones two and under? They get in free.
